Bush is an environmental 'girly-man'
To comment on this cartoon, click here.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger slammed President Bush on This Week with George Stephanopoulos due to the Environmental Protection Agency's recent decision not to take further action against global warming during the remainder of Bush's presidency.
"Well, to be honest with you, if they would have done something this year, I would have thought it was bogus anyway," he said. When asked why, Arnold said, "because you don't change global warming and you don't really have an effect by doing something six months before you leave office."

Mission Accomplished
To comment on this cartoon, click here.
The New York Times reports a group of American advisers led by a small State Department team played an integral part in drawing up contracts between the Iraqi government and five major Western oil companies to develop some of the largest oil fields in Iraq. The disclosure marks the first confirmation of direct involvement by the Bush administration in deals to open Iraq’s oil to commercial development.
The Times also reports the original partners in the Iraq Petroleum Company—Exxon Mobil, Shell, Total and BP— as well as Chevron, are on the verge of getting no-bid contracts to service Iraq’s largest oil fields.
In their role as advisers to the Iraqi Oil Ministry, American government lawyers and private-sector consultants provided template contracts and detailed suggestions on drafting the contracts.

What does Haase think of Dubbya?
I was cruising over at DeviantArt, and saw this wonderful piece by my buddy Kyle Haase.
I really appreciate its subtlety.

Bush Visits Africa
I don't know why a lot of these pictures over at The Huffington Post of Bush's trip to Africa make me laugh, but they do. They just do.

New Jersey: Kate Whitman is Her Own Woman!
Click on image for full cartoonFor those of you who don’t know, Kate Whitman, daughter of former Governor and Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Christie Todd Whitman, is running for the open seat for Congress in the 7th District.
The other day on her PolitickerNJ.com blog, Christie called out to the people of New Jersey, and asked them to realize that Kate is more than just her daughter, and would make an excellent member of Congress.
According to her campaign website, Kate has a ton of experience to separate her form her Mom, including:
1. Formerly the Executive Director of the Republican Leadership Council (Mom probably had nothing to do with getting her that job)
2. She previously served as the Communications Director for the Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee and House Policy Committee Chris Cox (R-CA) (Mom probably had nothing to do with getting her that job),
3. She served as press secretary for the United States Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao (Mom probably had nothing to do with getting her that job)
4. She also served as a staff member at the White House. (Mom probably had nothing to do with getting her that job)
5. In addition, she has worked on several prominent Republican political campaigns, including Bob Franks for Governor (NJ) and served as the Communications Director for the Republican Party of New Hampshire. (Mom probably had nothing to do with getting her those)
See? She's done a lot in her life that didn't depend on the 'Whitman' name, just like out current president, George W. Bush.
As a footnote, Wally Edge has assured me that PolitickerNJ.com is glad to offer blogs for any mothers with sons or daughters seeking a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Please contact Wally Edge at politicsnj@aol.com
