"Ah shoot, I've got a lot of questions."

"Ah shoot. I've got a lot of questions."

And so Joe the Plumber, War Correspondent for PJTV, arrives in Israel to spout non-licensed plumber wisdom on whoever is willing to listen.

Joe says, like Israel, he was a victim of media bias and can't understand why Israel didn't strike back sooner: "I know if I were a citizen here, I'd be damned upset."

He also took time to lecture his fellow reporters about journalism in wartime, saying, "...media should be abolished to reporting."

Then what are you doing there?

Here's my cartoon for Editor & Publisher about Joe:

Launching today...PolitickerNY.com!

Please welcome the newest member to the Politicker family today with the launch of PolitickerNY.com. The site is unique in our network, as it takes the already stellar local New York reporting team from The New York Observer, adds a new reporter with the hiring of Jimmy Vielkind, and places them to work on a statewide beat. Here's a bit about the launch from Politics editor Josh Benson:

So why are we doing all this?

Depending on how you look at it, we’re victims of our success – traffic to the Observer’s Politicker blog has more than doubled in the past year, and our employers noticed – or beneficiaries of having one of the very few publishers willing to spend money on a new journalism venture at a time when much of the industry is turning to dust.
